1. What do I need to know before I self-publish?

manuscript needs a little help with editing, we can provide that to you as well. Our goal at Suspense Publishing is to make

Technology has advanced quickly and Suspense Publishing is staying at the forefront. Digital publishing is a much quicker
way of making your authored work available to fans. With a print version you can wait upwards of 4-6 months before you
see a finished product. With Digital publishing through Suspense Publishing you can see your work and start selling it in as
little as 7 days. Digital publishing is also a much less expensive way to publish your book. With Digital publishing you don't
have unused or unsold print copies sitting around and costing you money. Digital publishing lets you reach many more fans
quicker. Print publishing takes a lot longer to distribute your book to other countries and bookstores across the world. You
will also be able to add instant reviews and updates to your book, whereas in printing you would have to reprint a new batch

There are many ways to submit your manuscript to us. The best way is to email it to us. When we receive it we will take it,

EBooks.com, Smashwords, Sony EReader Store and Apple Book Store. However, we use the power of Suspense Magazine,
an internationally read magazine, and our aggressive marketing of Suspense Publishing / Magazine.

6. How does Suspense Publishing help me promote my book?
Public Relations:
We release a minimum of 3 Press Releases to all the major outlets and personally target your market with direct contact.
Our professional team breaks down your book and your bio to execute an effective press release before you book is released.
On the release date, we will send out another press release and then about 2 weeks later we will send out another press
release, which all comes standard.
Print Advertising
We will release 3 months worth of Ad's in Suspense Magazine. We can also advertise for you in other publications (subject
to what the cost is for those publications) to give your book even more coverage.
Self Marketing consultation
You will get a one-on-one marketing consultant to help you guide you through the process of self marketing. Self
marketing is key in any form of book publishing. We make is easy for you to better market yourself through social media
and local marketing contacts.
Internet and Web Marketing
Since your book will be an EBook, internet and web marketing is an essential key to success. If you need help setting up
your social media accounts like FaceBook, MySpace, Twitter and Goodreads, we will walk you through the process. We will
help show you the little tricks you might not know to send more and more traffic your way. We will help you set up your
book in Amazon and Google key word search, to drive more sales and awareness to your book.
7. Can I revise my book once it is published?
YES! This is one of the advantages of digital publishing. You don't need to reprint and spend more money adding reviews
and changing the cover or description of your book. We can instantly make changes to your book.
8. What should I charge for my book?
The cost of the book is entirely up to you. We will talk with you and make suggestions on what we feel would be a good
price point, but you are in total control.
9. What is the royalty rate and how do I get paid?
You will receive 80% royalty from the net proceeds on every book sold. You will receive weekly sales tracking numbers so
you know exactly how much you will receive. You will receive a royalty check every 3 months, unless your royalties are less
than $10.00 for that quarter. Then we will bring forward your total into the next quarter and pay you at that time. You can
receive payment via PayPal or by check.
10. Can you print my book?
YES! We have relationships with book printers to get you the very lowest price possible. This would be an extra charge
however, but it is possible to have your book printed. We will not sell the printed copy on our website or make it available
for bookstore distribution. But if you would like review copies or personal copies, you let us know how many and we can
have them printed.
11. What if I don't have a "suspense" novel?
If your book does not fall into the categories of "Suspense/Thriller/Mystery or Horror", not to worry. Simply email us a one
page query letter about your book and let us review it.
12. Do I need my own website?
Having your own website is another essential key to any successful author. While it is not required it is highly encouraged.
We can help you set up your own professional looking website (extra charge as listed on the services page).
13. Does my package only cover one book?
Yes, each title is required to have its own package. However, discounts are available for two or more titles.
